Basil Pakeman, M.D., F.R.C.S. serves as the medical director of Manhattan Surgical Care. He specializes in cosmetic oculofacial surgery and Liposurgery. He is recognized as a Pioneer and innovator in minimally-invasive approaches in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Pakeman is double board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and by the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Pakeman is a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and The American Academy of Ophthalmology .
Dr. Pakeman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His post-doctoral training included an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City, an Ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital and an Oculoplastic Surgery externship at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He serves on staff at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
As a respected leader in the medical community, Dr. Pakeman lectures internationally and continues to publish scientific articles in major medical journals. His life-long commitment to cosmetic oculofacial surgery coupled with his precision, skill, and artistry have defined him as an accomplished and respected surgeon.
